This month not only will winners receive rewards but the top players in each category will receive 1 of 3 origin promo codes that can be redeemed for $10 in the origin store. This should come in handy as there are rumors of an expansion on the horizon ;). In game rewards will be given out after I finish reviewing logs and I find you online. Events

– There are currently only two events: Death Match and Scavenger Hunt.
– 1 event will be selected randomly to run every 3 hours.
– To see when the next event will be: CMD: .Event – Will display a count down until the next event.
– If you have any suggestions about these events or making new events post in the suggestions forum.
– If you discover any bugs during these events please post in the bugs forum.

~ Death Match event added.
– When the event starts players are to meet in UUO Arena(Gate is located in Occlo.)
– Objective is simple, kill as many other players as you can.
– You will not be able to use any type of potion while this event is going on in UUO Arena.
– When you die: You will be sent to the prep area, revived, set to full health and any mount you had will be summoned to you.
– Any other PVP based rules are posted on the Signs around UUO Arena.
– The player with the most kills after 10 minutes wins.
– Players are rewarded 100 Unreal UO Coins per kill and 5000 Gold per kill.
– The winner of the event will get a 10% chance to be rewarded a GM item.

Recent Changes

Updates

~ Rangers can only cast as many spells as Warriors.
~ Increased difficulty for skills not in your classes set of skills.
– This was mainly due to people with 0.0 skill using Item ID(You know who you are.).
– You now need 75.0+ in a skill to succeed normally without any increased difficulty(Only if you’re spec’d in a classe.)

That’s about all I can think of besides the progress I’ve made on the new stuff.

On another note; I’m considering deleting all INACTIVE accounts(char and items included.). Do yourself a favor and make sure you’ve logged in all your accounts and tell your friends to do the same. Limit will be 3 months inactivity on an account and if I do decide to do this it will be in a few weeks at the most.

Future Changes

Since there’s been a real lack of updates I figured I’ll let you all in on the reason why.

Not yet implemented;

~ Rewriting quests. Going to make it region based(So you can’t kill the npcs you need anywhere in the world. It’ll have to be in a certain area.) Harder quests, better rewards. NPC based, so you’ll have to talk to npcs to get/complete a quest. Also shooting for classe based quests.

~ Additional npcs to go with the new quests. Bored of killing the same few mobs? After this is complete you’ll have a whole new world to explore and quests to go with all new mobs. Probably around 500, at least that’s what I’m shooting for, a wider range of npcs. Adding 500+ new npcs will add probably 1000+ new quests to the lists.

~ Several new item mods, giving bonuses to find better magical items. Added spell/melee damages to clothing/jewelry. Adding to critical strike chance and parrying chance. Probably a few other new weapon hit scripts(like void/blackrock).

~ New items, “Uniques” much like GM items, only way better. Adding protections, stat mods, etc. Expect around 250+ new ones.

Pending features

~ Started a new rare items package to go with the new AI.
– You will only be able to find the new rare items on these hard and rare npcs.
– One of these items include Material Enchantment(Advanced BS Hammer for crafters.).

Crafters will be able to enchant metals such as Mythril onto weapons and armor giving them better quality(Better ar/hp/damage.). Some metals can transfer protections and dex loss for armors. *This item will be extremely rare and details on how this BS Hammer is used/requirements/restrictions will remain hidden.

Character Transfers

For those of you still waiting, please be patient, you have not been forgotten. As I’ve said, I am busy and I try to get a few people everyday. If you have been waiting LONGER than a week, please resend your transfer details again, odds are in the process of transferring another person I may have deleted your email instead of theirs and that does happen, but very rarely.

Recent Changes

~ Unreal arena has been made the new merchant market.
~ Occlo is no loot and guarded.
~ All the gates have been moved to occlo.
~ Minoc mines is no pk/no loot.
~ Britain remains as it was, no rules pk zone.
~ VIP Lounge is no pk/no loot.
~ Newbie Haven is no pk/no loot.
~ Market Place is no pk/no loot/no macro.
~ Player owned houses remain no pk/no loot for everyone.
~ No guard whacking repeatedly to decay corpse in any guarded town. That’s considered ress killing.
~ No more dispel on death.
~ Water barrels can be used to clean bandages.

Treasure Maps Implemented

You can now find treasure maps while mining. Higher level crafter’s can find them more easily.

~ 5 Levels of tmaps: (4 + level) – 1 = loot level
~ New groups of monsters to kill.
~ Over 20 new locations.
~ Cartography required to decode tattered maps: 25 * level = required skill
~ Mining required to dig the treasure up: (50 + (25 * level)) – 25 = required skill

Wall Rule

I have been receiving various complaints about people using the ‘stone wall’. This ‘stone wall’ spell is allowed. The only way it is not allowed is by putting it over someone’s loot inside a NON-LOOT area such as minoc. This spell CAN be used to block everything else, except RES GATES or someone’s entry to a ress gate.
